"We stayed here for two nights in one of the small double pods (up the ladder). It was a bigger space than we expected and quite comfortable. The walls are understandably thin, so be prepared to hear people in the rooms around and below you. There are earplugs provided, which is helpful. The staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our dinner around the fire! We also walked to a nearby onsen and found the location to be very convenient for exploring Hakone. Would definitely recommend! "

"Great stay in this friendly guest house in Hakone. Recommended for the gardens, friendly atmosphere and private onsen experience. Lighting in the room was a bit harsh. Adding a bedside light would help."

"Third time of staying in Atami and also third time in Guesthouse Megumi. Fantastic location - try to book when the fireworks festival is on in mid-July, as you get a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. The private rooms are simple with shared bathroom/toilet, but that doesn’t bother me. Will stay here again for sure. "

"Nice staff, clean and have free green tea and coffee. However there is no private bathroom in our room. The property is up the hill and very difficult to walk up with luggage. The bus runs every half hour from 7:30-8:00 am and then every hour after that. You have to call taxi after dinner near station. "

"熱海駅からタラタラ歩いて15分くらい。散策がてら歩くのには良い！利用が初めてでチェックインの顔認証が大変だったが、女性スタッフが丁寧に対応してくれ、ことなきを得た。施設の作りは簡素だが清潔に保たれておりシャワーが男女各1ヶ所、トイレが各2ヶ所と少なかったが問題なかった。ドミトリーだったか、この日の宿泊者のマナーも良く夜は静かに寝ることができた！ただ、エクスベデアの紹介ではタオルありとなっていたが有料だったので訂正願いたい。でもGWで３，０００円もしなかったので文句なし！次回も機会があったら利用したい。"

"Great location and only about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The 7-11 was only a 1 min walk and was a great place to get breakfast or snacks. The property was clean and the laundry machine is a very nice combined washer/dryer. "

"we would prefer to have been able to communicate with any staff or owner prior to getting there. the house was beautiful, complete kitchen. very clean. the rooms were enough for us. the living room was a plus, allowed us to talk and bond, better if there were two showers, one shower for a family of 9 was rather difficult."
