For $140 for 2 nights within walking distance to town this is amazing. Camping once fees are paid is almost half of this price hence why I rate this a 5 out of 5. If you're looking for glamour or a romatic week-end away don't bother. If it's a few lads surfing and fishing then this place is perfect.
We enjoyed our stay. it is in a good position right on the beach. The first night our neighbours were a bit noisy, so we did not get much sleep, second night much better.. We took advantage of free shuttles to local bowling club and tavern, we enjoyed this. Nice area, would be lovely in summer.
The lovely staff were most accommodating. Nice clean, comfortable rooms. Diamond Beach is superb & quiet & easily accessed past the lovely pool. There is a kids club, tennis court & great grounds to ride bikes around. Although there are many apartments next to one another you still feel like you have an element of privacy. The architecture is unobtrusive & natural so that is does not look like a beacon on the landscape. The wildlife such as kangaroos & wood ducks wander the resort & are well respected. Even the Tawny Frogmouth family that return each year to build their nest above the deck of the restaurant are anticipated happily by the staff. Only 20 minutes to Forster for eating & lake activities. If you like shopping wander along Wharf St & make sure you stop into the quirky little store Coco's Closet. Although we went in September & it may be busier over Summer Australis Diamond Beach Resort is still a nice quiet spot for those who don't want to be right in the throng, want friendly customer service & a beautiful beach.
