When we return to Florence we will stay here! We will recommend this hotel to all our friends, family and contacts! The best location, service and safe environment! Canadians loved this hotel!
Staff was very kind. Angelo welcomed us at midnight. Next door restaurant brought us food. Complete italian hospitality. We loved the location. Lots of space for three of us. Close to train station. Excellent breakfast included. Thank you!
The employees were very friendly and helped us at all times. The included breakfast was not what I expected and I liked it. They also have enough towels in the room. met our expectations
Good location. Close to train station and within walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast was good.
However, room was a disappointment. Actual room was big but washroom was tiny (couldn't even sit down on the toilet probably). There was also mold in the washroom ceiling and you can smell it in the entire room too as there is no ventilation.
The Hotel Academia was perfect for our stay in Florence. Easy walk from train station. Very close to city centre sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and offered suggestions for us. The continental breakfast had everything we needed in a quaint setting. Our room was attractive and comfortable. The only challenge is the walk up stairs to hotel entrance, might be problem for some but I expect the staff would help with bags if requested. We would stay here again.
The front desk employees were great and very helpful. We received tons of local information, tips, and suggestions.
The breakfast was a perfect spread. Not a ton of things but plenty of items to choose from to have a good breakfast.
Great location. Very easy to walk to everywhere.
The room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The property is centrally located and the only downside is there is no lift. If you have a heavy suitcase, it is a challenge to your physical strength. The staff is very nice and help me to carry the luggage to the check in counter while I climbed half way of the stairway. Luckily my room was at the first floor.
Awful service and the rooms are smaller then shown
The hotel gave us a room near the reception who looked like a staff room not for clients
As we wanted to change room, the refused and we had to move to another hotel. They even didn’t refund us of the money yet and offered us only a part of the cost refunded.
Great hotel, great service. Near by walking distance of all the important places to visit.

Staff was helpful
The light in the bathroom was motion activated which was very annoying when trying to use the toilet and shower. I had to keep reaching up and waving my hands. I had to open the shower door every two minutes and wave my hands around every time the light went off period there was a pull cord in the shower to activate this light sensor but it didn't work period the overhead shower button didn't work so I had to use the handheld shower, and no washcloths to bath with. Took 5 minutes to get warm water.
This hotel is a jewel in Florence....the staff is incredible friendly Alex was amazing so was the rest of staff....i will use again if i return to Firenze.
This hotel is conveniently located and is within walking distance to the train station and the Duomo. There are so many dining options nearby.
The room I had was spacious, with an equally spacious bathroom. I loved the big walk-in shower.
There are extra duvets in the wardrobe and an anti-mosquito plug in the drawer under the desk. Unfortunately, mosquitos are still around in November.
The staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
The hotel was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel staff was so friendly especially Allesandro at the front desk. He was so helpful. The lady that does the breakfast was amazing also. She always was on top of everything. Thank you for an amazing stay.
Stayed here 4 nights. Very walkable area of Florence to stay. Close to the train and metro stations for our day trip to Venice. Good breakfast. I’ve noticed not all hotels in Italy provide conditioner, bring some for here (I had some from my prior hotel). We liked how quiet the rooms were and very nice bathrooms. Our shower had an issue but we kept forgetting to bring up with the staff on how to change the diverter so we only could use the handheld. Good hot water and water pressure from that worked.
Good value. Good healthy choice of breakfast. Close to everything. My room was close to the front desk. I can hear people talking all the time. Not a problem to sleep as I had earplugs. I would rate 5 if not because of this.
Very nice hotel in a very good location that is close to the train station, Duomo, and most of the other major attractions. The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, and they have a pretty decent breakfast. There is no elevator, so we had to go up a lot of stairs to get to our room.
Everyone was very welcoming! Alejandro was exceptionally knowledgable, angelo was great, not sure of her name but the breakfast host ... short woman with shoulder length semi blonde hair was so sweet and she did not miss a beat... banquet was always full. Thank to everyone for the hospitality!! We felt as if we were coming home for a visit!!
Very nice location for walking to many sites and so many restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, especially for Florence.
Lovely place in the heart of the city and a super helpful reception guy who told us all the places to go and plotted them on a map provided by the hotel
You couldn't ask for a more perfect location in Firenze. The hotel is so close to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and many other attractions. Most every tourist landmark is within walking distance. It's also close to the train station which makes it very convenient. The room was small but comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, as it was very hot.
And oh.... so many restaurants. We had incredible meals at two nearby restaurants - Il Nutino Ristorante Pizzeria and Il Grande Nuti.
Il Grande Nuti makes the most beautiful pasta and florentine steaks. It is a 'must try'!
