Despite the fact that Singapore is often cited as a gateway to nearby destinations, it is actually a marvellous location by itself. Culturally rich, this city is home to the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Chinatown Heritage Centre.
Culture is not all this city has to offer, as it also boasts the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve for nature lovers, and Sentosa Luge and Skyride for the thrill-seekers. Though this city may be a stopping point for some, many tourists still gather here, making cheap flights to Singapore easy to find.
From June to October, Singapore is warm, dry, and beautiful, and rightly so, making it a difficult time of the year to find inexpensive flights. Tourists crowd the city in order to explore the National Orchid Garden and Singapore Zoo by day, then spend their evenings singing karaoke at Momo and dancing the night away at Thai Disco.
The city sees a slight lull in tourism from February through May. Although flights to Singapore are often cheap during these months, there are some exceptions. For example, the Chinese New Year festivities in February and the International Film Festival in April and May tend to draw crowds.
The months of November through January can be very rainy, so most tourists avoid the city during these months. Flights are generally inexpensive during this period, making it an excellent time to explore one of the many indoor attractions, like the Resorts World Sentosa casino, the Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, and the Museum of Shanghai Toys.

Airport shuttles cost a small fee, but allow for a more flexible trip, while hotel shuttles are free, but follow a strict timetable. Alternatively, you can take a local bus or taxi for a higher rate.
