"The hotel itself was comfortable and the staff were pleasant, but the parking situation was extremely frustrating and should be communicated much more clearly to guests.
The hotel does not have onsite parking. Their designated self-parking garage is located around the corner and across the street, which is particularly difficult to access because of San Francisco's many one-way streets. If you're unfamiliar with the area, finding the garage can be confusing and stressful.
As a result, many guests may end up using valet parking simply because it's the easier option. In our case, that meant paying about $90 per day plus tip and extra $40 when you checkout for resort fee or whatever, on top of the additional parking fees and the more than $300 per night we had already paid through Expedia.
What disappointed me most was the lack of clear instructions provided at the time of booking. The hotel should explicitly explain where the parking structure is located and provide directions before guests arrive. Had we known exactly how to access the garage, we could have avoided the expensive valet charges.
Overall, the stay was fine, but the parking experience left a negative impression and is something future guests should be aware of."
