Paid for a nice big room with a romantic view of the historical area, only to arrive and find out that the window is covered with paint and cenment for construction on the building and the buildings around it. Didnt get a discount or another room to make up for it. Service could be better."

"The best place to stay for Tikal, and the only reason to go. Spider monkeys and Howler monkeys all around make it an amazing place to spend a couple of nights. We stayed 2 nights which was perfect. We arrived late afternoon and headed straight for the pool which was a god-send. Dinner on site (no choice as no other restaurants nearby) was good. "The staff was very helpful. The view of the lake was awesome. The hotel was quiet and peaceful overall. We could hear loud club music from another hotel or restaurant nearby but I was still able to sleep. An easy 10 minute walk to restaurants on Flores island. They let us check out late which was very helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!"
