"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"The Knoll house hotel looks as though it could do with a lick of paint externally, but inside it is lovely. The food was good however the service on our first evening was rather slow. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours eating just 2 courses. It was much better on our second night. They accommodated my husband's need for gluten free food as he is a coeliac."

For a budget hotel it was superb, the unique thing about this hotel was their celebrity theme rooms and the whole decor in and out of the hotel was pretty unique.
