First time in Budapest and had a great time. Loads to do, fantastic architecture and beautiful buildings everywhere.
Hop on - Hop off bus was great value for 2 full days including a boat trip for about £12.50 each.
Had a great meal in a restaurant called Borkonyha.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location means many things are within easy walking distance and you are close a 'hop on hop off' bus stop which is really helpful for seeing sites that are further away.
The room was clean and spacious, with a frankly enormous bed! I would caution that the bath/shower would be difficult to get into for someone with mobility issues.
Tried room service one night, was reasonably priced for a 4*, arrived quickly and was pretty tasty (pizza was home made).
Must mention the staff - they were extremely helpful throughout, even liaising with a taxi company for me because I had left my phone on the backseat of one of their cabs!
Breakfast had plenty of choice and is served until 10:30 which is great if you have a leisurely holiday in mind.

I was in Budapest for the weekend, to run the Budapest Half Marathon and this hotel was an ideal base. The location, on the Pest end of the Chain Bridge, was ideal. My room at the hotel was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Special mention must go to the staff. From check in to the end of the stay one of the staff in particularly, Luca, could not have been more friendly and helpful in providing advice, recommendations and sorting out logistics.
Our first room was a bit noisy and we couldn't sleep because of the traffic in the street. We were there in April and needed to open the windows at times. After that we changed the room to the ones at the back opening to the courtyard as they called it and it was perfect.
The place was so good that we decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Would recommend to friends. The only draw back was the breakfast. Nothing to write home about but not a big deal really. You have your kitchenette and all you need to do is ask for a tea or coffee maker which they will happily provide.
The accommodation was delightful, much better than some 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The staff could not have been more helpful, they were most obliging and went out of their way to seek information we required that was not in anyway related to the hotel.
