"Our best and wholehearted recommendation! We spent a week to remember at The White Elephant, with family and friends who came for the wedding of our son in Charlottesville. There were 13 of us staying at The White Elephant, and four others were in a nearby hotel, but spent much of the daytime here. We were all impressed by the beauty, elegance and practicality of this place, secluded on a gentle slope in a woody area. The rooms and kitchens are big, the decks too, all nicely furnished. The swimming pool and the area around it are spectacular; it was a kids’ paradise and a great party place. The day before the wedding we organized a rehearsal dinner there for 70 guests and it was a big success. The owners, Bill and Katie, were kind and discreet, always ready to answer our calls. They not only tolerated our throwing a big party, but provided a lot of real help. We all left the place thinking how fortunate we were; it was much beyond our expectations."
