"Modest Clean Comfortable. Close to Convension Cent"
The stuff were very nice and helpful Outstanding was James at the desk - very very helpful!! And the lady at the info desk who led us patiently to vegetarian restaurant was very good in matching our needs. The hotel is clean. We needed cot, and received a very comfortable one - hand set by attendee. I did not like to maze-like corridor and the window facing wall. Coffee in the lobby was nice but no tea (you had to pay for that), and only in the morning (I have been in ones that it was 24/7). However, the bed was good, and the room itself spacious.

"Great hotel for a weekend in Philly"
Visited hotel for a weekend half marathon race. The rooms were spacious and the bed and linens were wonderful! The location is very convenient to the many shops, bars and restaurants found in center city. It is also a very short walk to Rittenhouse Square. The bathroom was nice, but our tub shower was a bit dated. Would have been nice to have a big updated stall for the price.

"Fantastic location, small room"
As far as location goes this hotel is in the heart of everything. Tons of shops and places to eat within walking distance. The parking situation is less than desirable as the parking deck is extremely chaotic, however it is only around the corner which makes it convenient. I was aware that the rooms were on the small side from other reviews, but did not realize just how small until we actually arrived. Be warned, the room is SMALL. The first room we were given was in the middle of being serviced, unbeknownst to anyone, so it was not very pleasant to open the door and see a large bag filled with garbage from the bathroom on the floor. We had to go back downstairs to the front desk and be placed in another room.

"Fancy, big room, little window, lots of wall paper"
I was having a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend in center city and needed a place to stay within walking distance. The hotel is close to all great bars, restaurants (Del Friscos in particular), and shopping. The staff is very friendly, especially when you stumble through the entrance at 3am looking for bottles of water. I was also able to check in on the way to dinner - literally took less than a minute. There's parking attached to the hotel which is always a concern for me when staying in the city. Convenience comes at a price of $30 (overnight), although this shouldn't be a concern when staying here in the first place. That's usually the going rate for overnight city parking anyway. I went with a standard king room. The room was very large, but there wasn't much in it - a bed, two night stands, and a TV. It was all we needed, but just don't expect more. The bathroom felt pretty dated - I know it's the hotel's vibe to be vintage, but classic chic with modern ammentities is always appreciated at this price. There was a very small window looking into some sort of banquet hall area. I would have paid more for a better view, but the Expedia description didn't really speficy. Wasn't a big deal. The hotel overall is very old, but well kept... Both of which add to its appeal. My girlfriend joked that hallways were something out of the shining. Joking aside, she was very impressed, as was I. I will definitely go back when I need a place to stay in Philly.

"Great location in the heart of the city"
Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant. They were helpful and attentive. The location was great - just blocks away from the sites and in the middle of a lot of shopping and restaurants. The hotel lobby was small but clean. My room was located near the elevator but I did not hear any disturbing noise. The room was small but clean. I have definitely had larger rooms at "chain hotels" but this was a nice change. I noticed some minor things like a hole in the bed spread and some dust, but overall it was fine. The hotel had a restaurant with a nice bar area, great customer service, good ambience, and the food was excellent.
