"We recently had a wonderful stay at the Carmel River Inn and Cottages, and we can't recommend it enough!
First and foremost, the cottages are absolutely adorable. They have such a charming and cozy feel, making it the perfect home away from home. Plus, being dog-friendly was a major bonus for us. Our dog Margot felt right at home, and it was great to have a place where we could all relax together.
The location of the inn is ideal. It's close enough to all the attractions that you can easily explore the area, yet it maintains a peaceful atmosphere that allowed us to unwind. Most of the time, it was wonderfully quiet, which added to the overall relaxing experience.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks during our stay. The little coffee truck on-site was never open, which was disappointing, especially for coffee lovers like us. Additionally, we noticed that the coffee in the hotel lobby was often empty, which could use some improvement.
While we didn't take a dip in the pool, we can see ourselves enjoying it if the weather had been warmer.
Overall, our experience at Carmel River Inn and Cottages was delightful, and we would definitely return for another stay!"
