"Location is great - right on the water and walkable to everything. Amenities and furnishings are very sparse; less furnishings than shown in pictures. Limited kitchen items; no coffee pods for Keurig, no salt & pepper or any other kitchen items that you’d expect in a vrbo. Sheets and towels low quality; not luxurious by any means. Rented in December so a bit chilly and no rugs in unit for warmth. No thermostat or HVAC. Two small wall heaters. Parking is tough at the beach so was a hassle every...

I asked that we be moved to a better location when we checked in but we were told that the resort was full, too bad so sad. I appreciated Cathy giving them a call but to no avail. Otherwise the Aviara is a knockout in stunning Carlsbad. I’m a bit nervous about booking in the future as I was told that owners will get priority locations. This may have been a one off unfortunate situation as owners...

"If you’re looking for a place in stay in the heart of Carlsbad, that has something for everyone, this is it. Beach views and access, shopping, restaurants, and friendly people. The staff was excellent and the rooms were comfortable, clean and updated. Beautiful fire places indoors to relax by. Outside green spaces were comfy and spacious. Nice pool and separate hot tub area for the adults. "
