Very quiet and dark room. Perfect location, walking distance to centre and train station. Wonderful staff - all three people working the reception desk were lovely and so helpful, going above and beyond (unfortunately didn’t get their names but cheeked in April 6th and checked out April 7th, so whoever was working then).

Overall hotel was ok. Room occasionally had a musty smell to it. Cleaning of the room could be better as it is not always consistent. Stayed for 4 nights. Little things were always left out or not topped up after each night. Our teabags were refilled but no milk, hand soap was empty but not refilled, We started off with 4 towels on first night but reduced to 2 towels subsequent nights even though there were 4 of us and our tables were never wiped down. The crumbs and food stains were always left on the table. The sink in the bathroom was never cleaned properly. On our first night there, there were bits stuck to the inside sink that was clearly left over from previous guest’s use which was a bit off putting.

The hotel has a cool castle-manor theme. Large rooms and giant bed with super cozy lighting. I was surprised how big everything was. Elevator was a little wonky. Extremely convenient location and good value!

Unpleasant surprise for a NH property. It needs maintainace, Room could not be more noisy you could hear every step from all guests above, lamp on top of bed would not turn off, and they never fixed it, a towel had to be put over it to be able to sleep, torn fabric on the window curtains, shower curtain dirty. Staff at front desk just claim there were no other rooms since the host "groups"and it seems is the priority and it should be level as a group-noisy hotel! We ve always favor NHs brand while traveling and this was a total unpleasent surprise. Would never recomend it

This is a nice hotel in a lovely city. I had a lot of difficulty with the front desk as I had paid through hotels.com in advance and the hotel claimed I hadn’t. That put a damper on my visit. Luckily, the hotels.com virtual chat assistant saved the day. Thank you hotels.com!!

Great location
Great location, helpful staff, nice hotel. Room spacious, just not that clean. Bathroom had alot of hair left in it on the walls in the shower and sink. Glasses also dirty. I would stay again

Lovely hotel in an amazing city.
Plenty of room for our family of four. Great location in an amazing city. Easy to walk down Main Street. Close to train station. Very helpful staff.

Tired Hotel disappointed stay
Hotel was very tired, worn out furniture, worn out decor, worn out carpets. It was the worst hotel I have stayed in for a long time. Rooms were cold, no heating in the bathroom. Haven’t a clue where all the other 10 out of 10 reviews come from. Bar was quirky and about the best thing about this hotel.

If you want great service - stay here
Large room, comfortable beds, Clean and great service, as we had come in from a tour in the cold rain they brought us robe’s and slippers. The breakfast was fabulous and the location is great. Close to the bus station and I would suggest taking the bus to the train station. Great restaurants that are very close.

Excellent location in a historic building. Friendly staff. It is a walking distance to everything in Bruges. Breakfast - excellent choice of food and good coffee. The hotel is near lots of restaurants, so no problem finding something to eat. Note: Although the train station is a short walking distance, it is not easy to roll a suitcase over pavers. Taxi is fixed 10 E.

Property needs upgrading. Good location at walking distance from the train station and the main attractions in Brugge. Carpets are clean but not in good condition. Very few electrical outlets and poorly located in the floor. Furniture is not in the best condition either. Mattress was good and comfortable.

Wonderful hotel, well situated in Bruge, across from the square. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions as to how best to use our time in their beautiful city. I highly recommend this relaxing hotel.

I didn’t feel I was welcome to the hotel at all. I came early and was told checkin time was 3pm which was fine we would drop off our luggages and came back. I came back at 3pm, was told the room was not ready and was asked to stayed in the lobby. Then we saw 2 other family came in after us and were checked in right away. We finally got our checkin after the third group came in for checkin.

Not the room we asked for
We had reserved a family room for 4 people on hotels.com and did the pre-check-in on the hotel website, confirming the kind of room and beds we wanted. After pre-check-in, the screen said our reservation was secured. However when we got there (1) the room was not ready on time, (2) we got a different room number, (3) instead of 4 twin beds we got 2 larger beds but they were not big enough for 2 adults to sleep comfortably. I could not turn around easily and were touching shoulders if we were both on our backs. They were full size beds, not queen or king. The staff did not attempt to correct this and claimed they did not have rooms with twin beds, despite their website confirming it at pre-check-in. No wash cloths and no extra pillows or blankets in the room. Not a great stay especially after waking up with back pain.

The room door was extremely awkward to open and close - having to slam it to which made a noise which could have woken/disturbed other rooms. Very poor lighting in the room.

Front desk staff was professional. Room was not that great, A/C wasn’t working There was trash in the garbage and a used tissue on the floor, was never picked up throughout our stay. No shower gel in bathroom, called to request and they never brought it, I had to go looking for housekeeping. Breakfast was great, tasty and good variety.
