The positives - location is amazing (right by the square), the staff was pleasant and 12pm check-out. But I'm not sure I would stay here again. The negatives: there was a lot of construction going on during my stay (late August). This may be temporary and no longer an issue, but guests should know that construction noise started before 8am and there was no elevator access to the top floor. I was also a little put off by the check-in process. Standard check-in is 3pm, but before arrival I received a message asking when I planned to arrive. They noted that early check-in would require an additional fee (which is fair), but they also said that if I didn't provide an arrival time, they couldn't guarantee the standard check-in time. That didn't sit well with me. I replied that I'd arrive around the normal check-in time (which they did not acknowledge). When I arrived around 4pm, I was taken to my room, but shortly after I got a call saying maintenance needed access to fix the window. Apparently, water could come in if it rained. I agreed to have it fixed that evening and worked around their schedule, expecting the repair to be done by the time I got back from my meal. But it wasn't. I waited in the lobby while the work continued. They said I could wait in my room, but the room wasn't a space where I wanted to sit while maintenance was working. After traveling, this was annoying and a small gesture like offering a bottle of water would have gone a long way.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the center of town. It has a unique layout and our room was very spacious and could accommodate a large group.
