Magic Reef Bungalows
3.5 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (197)
"We found Magic Reef to be an absolutely ideal resort property. The bungalows are very well designed and appointed and each has a view of the beach. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the waterfront gazebo and deck area was a lovely place to spend time watching the waves crash on the reef in the distance. Cars were available for rent on site which was very convenient and there were restaurants within walking distance along the beach - how great is it to walk along a sand beach to a table...

"The staff and management did their best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, they are very helpful and friendly. They were fantastic on the last day - helping us out immensely. The garden villas are a bit dated but very comfortable and clean, the grounds are beautiful, great snorkeling across the road from the complex. Roosters took a bit of getting used to!"

Castaway Resort
3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (198)
"Staff are beautiful Our family of four adults stayed in the beach house, ample space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We hired scooters for the week so could come and go as we pleased without inconvenience to anyone as the beach house is next door to resort. Best access is via beach for a very basic continental breakfast in the mornings. Basic 3 star accommodation which suited us but would probably stay on west side next time. Would recommend to prebook Aitutaki as it was booked out and...

Manuia Beach Resort
3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (171)
"Very good. Many positives. Not cheap but worth the extra $ to have a beach view room imo. Nice people running and operating it. all very friendly and relaxed. The biggest and easiest improvement would be to upgrade breakfast. It's a very basic continental and could be so much better with some small improvements. The office closes early as well and whilst you have the owner's number if you need anything you tend not to want to disturb him (or at least I didnt) for general info etc."

"Our two week stay at the Black Pearl was so lovely. Paul is an excellent host who takes great care of his property and has great local knowledge. Our room was large and comfortable. The saltwater pool is convenient for days when you don't feel like getting sandy at the beach. There is a dairy/ fuel station/ ice cream shop right next door and Aro's Shipwreck Bar/ Restaurant within walking distance. The library of books, snorkel gear and reef shoes we borrowed during our stay really added to our...
