The hotel itself is in a beautiful old building, while the rooms are modern and comfortable. "Hotel looks ok on arrival, but once inside is tired and dated. Carpets on corridor floors are in dire need of replacement, room furniture showing its age, and the mattress had a definite dip in the centre. Bathroom was much better, however, and the shower was spacious with strong water pressure. All staff encountered were friendly and obliging. Breakfast was a good selection, but would it not be more sensible to place the glasses near the juices?? "
