"We arrived late and the key had been left for us but unfortunately we did not see it and pressed the bell. "We had a lovely stay. It was end of season and the resort was only half full, they were also closing a day early so had arranged our transfer to another hotel at no cost to ourselves. In addition because of this we were upgraded. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. This was really useful when arranging days out (make sure you have cash!). "Wish I could have rated my stay at the Diouskouri. Our reservation was made over two days in advance of our attempted check in. After many phone calls to the manager who was somewhere in Iraklion while we were in the hotel lobby, we were told to check in at the hotel down the road. The substitute hotel lacked hot water, a decent internet connection and one of the main ceiling lights didn't work. The substitute hotel was not a three star but we paid three star rates. Not a repeat."

"We booked this room at the last minute. At 29 Euros, I would never have booked it except I misread it as 129 Euros - guess I never thought a room could be so cheap. While it was a bit difficult to find and it was and older hotel, my Family was very pleasantly surprised. The room was the largest we had seen in 2 weeks in Greece. While a bit tired the room was very clean. Also, for only 5 Euros extra, we had the best AC of any hotel we stayed in. The pool could use some help, but who needs a pool...

"Oct 2019. We arrived late evening and the man on the desk, was not very kind to us, very rude. Had to email a copy of booking to reception to prove who we was. The rest of reception staff was very good during our 2 weeks stay. Our room was located near the main road right at bottom of the steps.
