We were pleasantly surprised, but felt pensive re the necessity to leave the car park next morning on time.
We enjoyed our shopping, the bar food etc was excellent. Evening meal was really good except for the fact that two meals were almost cold! They did remove them to heat up, but they came back the same, all the same we ate it all.
This was just a quickly arranged overnighter, but what turned out to be a fantastic break. We booked Woodford Bridge Country Club based on its location as there were a couple of places we had to visit the following day in the near vicinity. We were given one of the king-size hotel rooms in the thatched part of the hotel and facilities were great. Nothing was too much bother for the staff and the meals were to die for.
We will definitely be going back again, and next time for more nights so that we can use it as a base.
Excellent, spacious comfortable rooms. We had 4 in our room and it still felt big. Breakfast was lovely, well organised with views over the hoe, docks and the whole city centre. We used the gym and swimming pool which was all new and clean. Staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, 2 mins to the hoe, and nice walk to the barbican, in the other direction 2 min walk to the shopping centre. Thoroughly recommended.
got upgraded to the executive suite on arrival staff new of my plans and kept the ring in safe until the evening of our 2nd day she said yes and got a free bottle of champagne all the staff went way above the norm to make our stay pleasant thoroughly recommended

The facilities at this hotel were great. Our bedroom needed upgrading and the television was old fashion.
Having said that the rest of the hotel had been upgraded to an excellent standard. The dining room
and lounges reflected the 4 # rating.

We arrived for our one night stay on Saturday Oct 11th we were met by Roger who gave us all the information we were likely to want during our stay in Torquay.
He took us to our nice little room at the top of the hotel, it was really lovely and could not have been better.
The breakfast was excellent with everything in the dining room looking very clean and nice.
