"This hotel is a gem! I stayed at Hors les Lumières in late April 2024. I’m a woman in my mid-twenties, solo-traveller, and the 9th is a great area to be in. I was a bit nervous about my stay bc it’s so hard to gauge how a hotel is especially when traveling abroad. Let me just say my stay there was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly nice, attentive, and accommodating. The room and bathroom were incredibly clean, which is always my biggest concern, and I was so relieved when I saw how impeccable it was. My room faced the street which I loved , and it had AC, which was a life saver as it was a really warm week in Paris ! I didn’t have a chance to use their restaurant but staff did recommend some places nearby and it was delicious! (Plus the metro station is about a three minute walk away) I felt incredibly safe as well, there was always someone at the lobby, and you need a key card to access the floors. When I arrived my room wasn’t quite ready yet but they held onto my suitcases, and they have a pop-up marche right down the street which I had time to enjoy! Overall , completely honest opinion I’d give it 10/10; no complaints. Really so grateful; you’ll have a lovely stay here if you’re still deciding! "

"Our stay at The Hotel General in Paris was terrific. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and got us tickets to the museum. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious. Very clean. Breakfast was great. A 3 minute walk to the metro at Republic and access to everything. Lovely restaurants close by. We would definitely return to this hotel. A gem for sure. "

"Stayed 5 nights and this is a very attractive, well-located, clean hotel. The staff is terrific and i mean the front desk staff, the bartenders and wait staff and the cleaning staff! All of them were very friendly and so helpful with directions and recommendations. There are multiple metro stations near-by to get anywhere in and around Paris. Plenty of restaurants and bars including a great italian place, boulangerie and grocery store across the street. I would absolutely stay here again."
