Overview

I call Pico do Jaraguá my backyard and it will be a pleasure to introduce people interested in connecting with the local culture and nature.

As we enter the park, we will see the old Lavagem de Ouro tank and the Afonso Sardinha mansion, which are part of the preservation of the park's memory.

After a walk of about 50 minutes up the mountain along the trail, among the local fauna and flora, we will reach the top, where we will have a view of the city of São Paulo from the top, at 1,135m altitude.

During the trail that connects the lower part to the upper part of the State Park, it is possible to observe native specimens of flora and fauna, such as capuchin monkeys, green-billed toucans, sloths, juçara palm hearts, guapuruvus, ipê -yellow, garlic sticks, among others.

The train on the Rubi line or line 7 is a historic place in itself. It is considered the longest train line in the city, and perhaps the most important. Founded in 1867, this line connected the port of Santos to the city of Jundiaí, transporting coffee beans.
