The Diamond Museum is a must for anyone interested in diamonds and jewellery. Be enchanted by glittering gems and experience 400 years of diamond history in the only diamond museum in Europe. You will be taken on a journey that began hundreds of kilometres below the earth's surface and ends in the ring on your finger. The Diamond Museum has a unique permanent collection with famous pieces such as the Katana sword (Japanese) of Murano glass with 1967 diamonds and 494 rubies, the smallest diamond ever cut, and the diamond Ape Skull. This skull contains 17,000 brilliant diamonds and is inspired by the diamond inlaid human skull of Damien Hirst. Families and children can discover the museum with an exciting treasure hunt (supplement) or experience a spectacular diamond heist in our new Laser Room.
The door opens and you walk into a dark room. On the other side of the room, you will see the biggest diamond you have ever seen. The lasers go on and the room fills with smoke. Your mission…. steal the diamond. Visit the Diamond Museum Amsterdam now and experience a diamond robbery in an escaperoom-like setting. Manoeuvre acrobatically past the laser beams and try to reach the diamond. If you hit a laser beam, an alarm will go off. Are you up to it….
