What you can expect
The tour of the sacred valley of the Incas, is one of the most complete and unmissable in your visit to Cusco city , this tour combines culture, scenic beauty, shopping and lots of fun, we will visit some of the most important tourist sites that were built by the Incas
The first stop will be in Taray viewpoint to have great views of the Vilcanota River and the valley, Once you arrive to the Pisac archaeological park, visit the Inca citadel of Pisac located at the top of the mountain, to visit the Inca areas, the cemetery, the terraces and their functions.
Then you arrive to Pisac town, where you can visit and see some of the local crafts that were made by Andean metallurgy.
Later you go to the City of Urubamba, tasting a buffet lunch in a local restaurant and try Peruvian cuisine and more.
Continue to the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo, whose name is due in honour of the Inca General Ollanta, famous for his romance with an Inca princess, daughter of Pachacútec. In this park you appreciate megalithic loses of an approximate weight of more than 45 tonnes of weight carved in pink porphyry rock, as well as environments of purely religious use, water sources and tambos since it also fulfilled the function of supply or resting place.
Later you go to Chinchero, which is characterised by the existence of a Catholic colonial church which is built on an Inca palace, sample of the imposition of the Catholic religion on the Andean culture at the arrival of the conquerors, also Chinchero is characterised by its textiles produced in an artisanal way with techniques acquired from generation to generation since Inca times, You can visit a textile centre to appreciate these processes of obtaining colours based on natural products for the dyeing of different wools, either llama or alpaca.
