In the early morning, around 6am to 9am, you will be picked up from your Shanghai city hotel and to be transferred to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Then take a flight to Beijing.

After the flight arrived at Beijing airport, our local Beijing tour guide and driver will pick you up from the exit of airport, then drive to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall.

Mutianyu Great Wall is the best preserved and most beautiful part of Great Wall around Beijing, it is also much less crowded than other parts of Great Wall. The stunning scenery is all very beautiful in different seasons, the return cable car up and down on the Great Wall is all included.

From Mutianyu Great Wall,let's drive to Beijing city centre area,we will come to Nanluoguxiang Hutong,Beijing has the history longer than 2600years,there are many old alleys in Beijing, Nanluoguxiang Hutong is the local oldest and most famous Hutong alley in Beijing,the history of Nanluoguxiang can date back to Yuan dynasty 700years ago. Walking through Nanluoguxiang Hutong,you can feel and touch the locals life and Beijing old history here. Then let's come to a local very popular roast duck restaurant for dinner in a old courtyard. Pekin roast duck is world well-known delicacy, our dinner tonight will be Pekin roast duck, you can even watch how the duck been roasted in the oven and watch the chef use the sharp knife to cut the roast duck in slices in front of you, very interesting and yummy foodie experience. After Pekin roast duck dinner,let's drive to your included hotel(4 star),the room type is deluxe suite room, the next morning buffet breakfast is included.
Day 2: Beijing

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

In the morning, let's go to visit Tiananmen Square, it is the biggest square in the world and well known for many big moments happened here in the history. The Chairman Mao memorial museum and China Congress Building are located here, Tiananmen Square was ever part of Forbidden City in the Ming and Qing Dynasty, it became a square from 1949 after the revolutionary.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

Walking through the Tiananmen Gate, we will walk in the Forbidden City, it was built 600years ago at the beginning of Ming Dynasty, serving to the palaces of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. The whole palace has more than 8400rooms which is the biggest palace in the world. There are three Grand Halls for the emperor's working places at the front area and residential area for the emperor and concubines at the back area, walking along its axis line from the south gate to the north gate. Then we go for lunch in a local popular restaurant which is famous for Beijing traditional hot pot. Please notice that Forbidden City will be closed on every Monday.So we will replace the Forbidden City with Hutong tour. Due to the current challenges in securing entrance tickets for the Forbidden City museum, we offer alternative options for your convenience. You may opt to replace the Forbidden City museum with the Hutong tour.
Temple of Heaven

After lunch,let's go to visit another UNESCO historical sight-Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Temple of Heaven is the place for the ancient Chinese emperors to pray for a good harvest of new year, its architecture design and building is a masterpiece for the ancient Chinese culture and architecture.There is a park here, serving for locals as the morning excercise, so many locals coming here to practice Taichi, dancing and singing Pekin Opera here. After we finish the visit of Temple of heaven, then drive back to your included hotel.

In the morning, drive to visit the famous Summer Palace.Being the largest and best-preserved royal park in China, it greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape with its famous natural views and cultural interests, which also has long been recognised as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens'. Yiheyuan radiates fully the natural beauty and the grandeur of royal gardens. Composed mainly of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it owns over 3,000 man-made ancient structures, including pavilions, towers, bridges, corridors, etc.
Lama Temple (Yonghegong)

Then go to visit Lama Temple,it is the most handsome and impressive Buddhist temple in Beijing. It is the only temple in Beijing to have its own subway stop. Lama Temple ( Yonghe Lamasery ) was built in the 33 Qing Kangxi year (1694) and it is now the largest and best-preserved Lamasery of Yellow Sect in Beijing. It was the residence of Emperor Yongzheng before his ascending to the throne. Built initially in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty, this building was the residence of Emperor Yongzheng when he was just a prince. However, in 1744 the Qing Dynasty formally changed the status of the dwelling to that of a lamasery, and so Yonghe Lamasery became the national centre of Lama administration. After we finish the visit of Lama Temple, then drive to the Beijing international airport to catch your included return flight back to Shanghai, where your Shanghai private driver will be waiting to take you back to your own booked Shanghai hotel or train station, or port according to your request.
