We will discover the history of the beginnings of the Roman city of Cesar Augusta from its Roman Theatre. Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar

We will visit the first Marian temple of Christianity. since in it the pillar is preserved and venerated —actually, a jasper column— which, according to tradition, was placed by the Virgin Mary who, while still living in Jerusalem, would have appeared in mortal flesh to the Apostle Santiago on the 2nd January 40. History attests to the existence of a Mozarabic church in Saraqusta dedicated to Santa María, in the same place where the Baroque basilica is currently located. Around this temple lived one of the Christian communities of the city.
