Overview

This tour is one of our bestsellers! Luxemburg is certainly a modern and vibrant city with a rich history and impressive modern and ancient architecture. In the old part of Luxembourg , our guide will take you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the Place des Armes. In the lower part of the city you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Kirchberg district, home to several European institutions. In the valley, we will show you a trail of casemates, the abbey of Neumünster, the city walls and the picturesque sites along the river Alzette. After some free time in the city, we visit the quaint town of Dinant, with its fifteenth century collegial church, its impressive citadel. It is also the town of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone and the cradle of the Leffe beer. Our drive to Brussels, takes us through the valley of the Meuse.

Embark on a sightseeing tour of the city with your guide.
Grand Ducal Palace (Pass by)
You'll pass by the Grand Ducal Palace, the official residence of the grand duke of Luxembourg, and where he performs most of his duties as head of state of the Grand Duchy. Old part of Renaissance (1572), middle part (1741) of Baroque and Renaissance styles and right the Chamber of Deputies (1858).
Cathedrale Notre-Dame

You'll visit this former Jesuit church of the 17th century in Baroque and Renaissance style with Gothic elements. To the left of the nave, a forum dedicated to the Grand Ducal family. The College of Jesuits adjacent to the cathedral became National Library.
Neimenster

You'll visit Neumünster Abbey, a public meeting place and cultural centre, located in the Grund district of Luxembourg City in southern Luxembourg. After the original Benedictine abbey on the Altmünster Plateau had been destroyed in 1542, the monks built a new abbey or "Neumünster" in 1606 in the Grund.
Auchan Kirchberg (Pass by)
The Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge in red painted steel (1966) crosses the Alzette. Left the Municipal Theatre (1964) and right Monument Schuman (Father of Europe).
Court of Justice of the European Union (Pass by)
The European Centre Kirchberg 1966 with its 23 floors is the seat of the European Parliament. The Schuman Centre headquarters of the Council of Ministers.
Dinant

On the way back from Luxembourg to Brussels, you'll visit Dinant on the banks of the Meuse River Dinant gave its name to the brassware: copper objects. Speciality: biscuits or biscuits with honey.
Citadelle de Dinant (Pass by)
Lift your gaze towards the Citadelle and the onion-domed tower of the Collegiate church, all highlighted by the ribbon of houses and shops running alongside the river.
Maison de Monsieur Sax
