At Terra Nostra, you can find typical flora of the Azores, as well as numerous native plants to countries with climates that are completely different from Furnas. This adaptation has been possible, in part, by the shared experience of Terra Nostra’s gardeners, who have been successful in adapting various plants, species, and varieties to the existing conditions of the garden.

Furnas is a parish in the municipality of Povoação and is located on the east side of Ponta Delgada. It's well known for its thermal waters, pools, and fumaroles. In addition, a magnificent botanical garden,called Terra Nostra where you can also visit.

The church of Nossa Senhora da Paz is located in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, once the first capital of the island. This it dates from the 18th century, and it was probably built in the 16th century. With its great beauty, it is one of the most famous monuments in the region, even for the great landscape that can be seen from here, making the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Paz one of the most privileged viewpoints in the village and surroundings.
