Blue Bay Marine Park

Blue Bay Marine Park is a marine reserve in the South-East of Mauritius. The 353 hectare area was declared a national park in October 1997. In June 2000 it was granted Marine Park status under the Mauritian Fisheries and Marine Resources Act. The Blue Bay Marine Park is arguably the best snorkelling location in Mauritius as the colourful fauna and flora found at the park is absolutely stunning. The park is home to mangroves, algae, sea grasses, corals, and other marine organisms. There is also a wide variety of fish species.
Pointe d'Esny

Dalbair shipwreck – Historical spot Built in 1895 and weighing over 1470 tonnes, the Scottish cargo ship, Dalblair, left Cardiff on the 14th of November 1901 with a cargo of coal heading for Mauritius. During the year 1902, the ship was caught in an unforeseen cyclone and struck on the reefs at Pointe D'Esny, where its wreck is still visible today, even though little by little corrosion and weather conditions are consuming what is left of this vessel.

Ile aux Fouquets, also known as Ile aux Phares, is an island situated within the bay of Mahebourg in the South East of Mauritius. Ile aux Fouquets has been classified as a historical monument and built to guide ships to main port of Mahebourg until the early 20th century. The French who had ruled Mauritius since 1715 had to treat of British invasion in 1810. The battle last for six days and was won by the French. The prestigious battle is set in the marble of the Arc De Triomphe in Paris being the only naval victory.
