What you can expect

Travel from Cusco to Rainbow mountain for a hiking and camping adventure with this two-day group trip. See stunning views of the snow-capped Ausangate mountain and have the opportunity to spot wildlife like chinchillas.
Day 1: Be picked up from your accommodation in Cusco at 4:00 AM and relax as you drive to the trailhead. Stop for breakfast before starting your hike to the first pass of Puccacocha, which is located at 5000 metres above sea level.
Marvel at the imposing snow-capped Ausangate mountain and Lake Puccacocha. Make camp at Ananta with well-maintained equipment. Have the tent set up for you, so you can spend the evening relaxing.
Day 2:
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before climbing to a Rainbow mountain lookout. Listen as your guide explains the importance of this place to you. Next, head to the Red Valley viewpoint to explore and snap some pictures.
After a nice lunch, walk to the bus station where your driver will be waiting to take you on the 3-hour drive back to Cusco. Arrive in Cusco at about 5:00 pm.
