  • All canoe participants must be seven years or older and have the ability to swim.

Activity itinerary

Your Explorer tour begins with a cruise across stunning Lake Cootharaba where we enter the Australia's only Everglades. Stopping at Fig Tree point you have the option to participate in a 600m rainforest walk or board your Canadian style canoe for a leisurely paddle upstream through ancient landscapes, mirrored waterways know as "The River of Mirrors". Guides provide expert commentary on the flora & fauna and rich history of the area. Witness sub-tropical rainforest thousands of years old and the surrounding serenity of the Cooloola National Park. A light refreshment is served during the tour. The Everglades, recognised as one of the most spectacular waterways in Australia is home to variety of diverse animal species. Upon returning to Habitat Noosa you have spare time with the option of tasting a craft beer at the Micro-brewery, trying a dish from the on-site bistro (own cost) or explore the Lake and surrounding bushland of the EcoCamp.
