Irish Rebel Stop Toast :' The Brazen Head', Ireland's oldest pub. We tell the storey of the young Irish rebel leader the Bold Robert Emmet who was a local at this pub in the days of the UnitedIrishmen rebellion, we go on to visit his execution spot nearby. There's has been a hostelry here since 1198. Licensing laws only came into effect in 1635, yet this pub has been serving alcohol before official licensing laws were even introduced. Although it is unclear how much of the original 11th century coach house is still intact, there is a palpable sense of history within its walls.
