The Green Grotto, known in ancient times as the Grotto of the Turks, is a cavity located on the southern side of the Island of Capri, in Campania, known above all for the colour of the water inside which, due to particular plays of light, takes on the green colour. The White Grotto extends for 30 metres. Inside, the waters form two small lakes communicating through an artificial channel carved into the rock. In Roman times it seems to have been used as a shelter for boats. If you look carefully you will notice that the white walls show some signs of the passage of man

A stack is a rocky cliff in the shape of a peak that emerges from the sea near the coast. They are caused by the erosive action of the wave motion of shallow waters. The average height of the Faraglioni of Capri is around 100 metres: the first stack joined to the coast is called Stella, the second is the Faraglione di Mezzo (the smallest of the three, characterised by the famous cavity) and the third, the Faraglione di Outside, it is also known as Scopolo.

It is a cavity about 60 metres long, 25 wide and 22 to 14 metres deep. The vault, on the other hand, has an average height of about 7 metres, but can reach 14. The wonderful blue colour that can be admired in the cave is the result of a complex phenomenon of light refraction.
