Starting with pickup from your hotel, head to the majestic Lempuyang Temple in the eastern part of Bali. Along the way, pass long stretches of beautiful and pristine rice paddies, travel along winding roads, and marvel at breathtaking mountains.

Next, visit Tirta Gangga, known as the most beautiful former royal water palace in Eastern Bali. Explore the water palace's tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into pools.
Outside the palace, soak up views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali.
After visiting the water palace, savour a scrumptious buffet lunch (own cost) overlooking Mount Agung, Telaga Waja river, and the rice fields. When you are finished, make your way to the biggest temple in Bali, Pura Besakih.
Pura Besakih is a complex made up of twenty-three temples that sit on parallel ridges. It has stepped terraces and flights of stairs which ascend to a number of courtyards and brick gateways that in turn lead up to the main spire or Meru structure, which is called Pura Penataran Agung. All this is aligned along a single axis and designed to lead the spiritual person upward and closer to the mountain which is considered sacred.
The main sanctuary of the complex is the Pura Penataran Agung. The symbolic centre of the main sanctuary is the lotus throne, or padmasana, which is therefore the ritual focus of the entire complex. It dates to around the seventeenth century.
