Gion is Kyoto’s geisha district, with hostesses in colourful kimonos often sighted there. It is very carefully preserved with such attention to its architecture and beauty, so considered the main traditional entertainment district in Kyoto.
Yasaka Shrine

Founded over 1350 years ago, the shrine is located between the popular Gion and Higashiyama districts. Yasaka Shrine is well known for its summer festival, the Gion Matsuri, which is considered the most famous festival in Japan. The shrine is also a very well-known destination in the cherry blossom season around early April, as the adjacent Maruyama Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in Kyoto.
Hanamikoji Street

One of Kyoto City's most famous streets is the Gion district where you can enjoy the traditional wooden merchant houses and quaint ochaya, or teahouses. It’s also one of the Kyoto geisha districts and there is a good possibility to see them around.
Minamiza : The Kabuki Theater of Kyoto

Minamiza is the primary kabuki theatre in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded in 1610 as Shijō Minami-za. The current building, with a 1,086-seat capacity, was built in 1929. The Minamiza Theatre was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 1996 and was even registered as a Structure of Historical Design in Kyoto as well.
