Unique Sleeps: The Residence by Etihad
The all-elusive pointy end of the plane just got even more exciting. Etihad’s A380 planes will now feature The Residence. This three room private cabin has everything you need to take your mind off the task at hand. Who cares about long haul travel when you’ve got a double bed, living room and ensuite shower room to lounge about in?
Forget standard cabin crew – The Residence comes with its own Butler, trained at the Savoy Butler Academy in London. They’ll try to grant your every wish – well at least what’s possible while airborne.
Each A380 will have just one Residence on board – and with all that space, 12 square metres to be precise, only two passengers are allowed access. Cattle class will look a lot more crowded once you’ve spent a few hours sprawled out on your double bed.
What will this once-in-a-lifetime experience set you back? Rumour has it a flight to London in The Residence will set you back upwards of $40,000. Like we said, perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most of us!
