Unique Sleeps: Mr C, Beverly Hills
Unique Sleeps: Amazing hotels hand picked by Expedia Experts. Mr C, Beverly Hills.
This was our first trip to LA and our first hotel stay in the USA. We were collected from the airport by a town car organised by MR C Beverly Hills (of course it was a very big town car). Driving through the streets, we knew we’d arrived in Beverly Hills. Lush manicured gardens, iconic street signs and palm trees – so Hollywood!
We arrived to a friendly check in at the hotel lobby and were offered complimentary drinks on arrival – very nice! So far, there was luckily no jet lag in sight!
The hotel felt friendly, approachable and very inviting. It’s fancy without feeling unfriendly. Simple but still with the feeling of Hollywood glamour, with touches of Hollywood regency style.
Our room was simple yet luxurious, the clean design and decor comfortable but not over decorated. I loved the white bed head and the Hollywood-style black and white pictures on the walls and of course who doesn’t love hotels with quality white sheets and robes! The room wasn’t small either – clever use of space made it functional while a balcony with an awesome view across the city is a nice touch. The view screams welcome to Hollywood!
We stayed at Mr C for 5 nights and couldn’t ask for a more comfortable place to stay. The hotel has a restaurant located just off the Foyer open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a classic Italian flair.
A hotspot was definitely the cool pool area, with its smart décor and fab umbrellas. There’s also a spa and gym – this is LA after all!
We loved the location – close enough to everything or a quick car ride away (the hotel offers complimentary car service within a short radius of the hotel which we took advantage of). Getting around LA for the first time was easy and the hotel staff were helpful with our questions.
I’m not surprised to hear the hotel is favoured by a number of celebrities. Laid back, non-pretentious and stylish, Mr C is my pick for an LA stay.
