Located 10 minutes drive south of Swansea on Tasmania’s eastern coast, this stunning private retreat looks straight out onto Great Oyster Bay. Expect chandeliers, stained glass windows and delicate wrought-iron balustrades. The hotel sits right at the end of the Chain Bridge and is a sumptuous base for a few days in this historical city.

Just under 100km north of Brisbane, Caloundra is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
