Four Seasons Gresham Palace, Budapest
Budapest is home to some of the world’s most beautiful architecture and when you’re staying at this former palace, you get to experience it up close. Dating back to 1906, the building underwent more than five years of renovations, returning to its former glory when it reopened under the Four Seasons name in 2004. Expect chandeliers, stained glass windows and delicate wrought-iron balustrades. The hotel sits right at the end of the Chain Bridge and is a sumptuous base for a few days in this historical city.
Oaks Oasis, Sunshine Coast QLD
Just under 100km north of Brisbane, Caloundra is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The Oaks Oasis is fresh from a renovation and is a great base for a stay on the Sunshine Coast. The rooms are beach chic, with soft pastels and plenty of space. The hotel is on the doorstep of Golden Beach, popular with families, who will also enjoy the playground and tropical pool inside the resort. There’s also beach volleyball, a miniature golf putting green, tennis court and restaurant and bar – plenty for the whole family.
