Expedia Expert: Six of Fiji’s Best Hotel Pools
Expedia’s South Pacific Market Manager Patricia shares her tips to finding the right pool for you in Fiji.
There’s plenty of different options when it comes to choosing the right hotel for a holiday and the type of pool can make a big difference. Whether you’re serene or splashy, Fiji has a pool for everyone. Here’s my guide to six resorts and their swimming pools.
Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Managed by Hilton, Denarau Island
Families will love the activities in the ‘Sunrise’ group of pools, where there are four large pools to choose from. For a more relaxed dip, try the ‘Sunset’ group of pools – three beautiful adults-only and serenity pools. Surrounded by over-sized day beds, luxurious recliners and beautiful frangipani trees, you won’t want to leave.
Sofitel Fiji Resort And Spa, Denarau Island
One big pool that has it all! This incredibly large lagoon-style pool offers fun and relaxation for all types of guests. The little ‘island’ in the middle of pool makes it feel like you’re not sharing the pool with a lot of other guests. There’s also a kids pool and waterslide on the side.
The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Denarau Island
The reason why I like this pool so much is because of the design – you can hide away in your own cabana so even though the pool area might be super busy, it doesn’t really feel that way. The day beds and a Jacuzzi right in the middle of the pool area are reasons to settle in for the day.
Sonaisali Island Resort, Fiji
This is a pool designed for fun – a swim-up bar, stunning landscaping, even an island where kids can climb up the top and jump into the pool, this pool has it all. It’s one of the few pools in Fiji with a swim up bar so make the most of it with a few cocktails.
Tokoriki Island Resort, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji
The stunning infinity pool is almost as beautiful as the views over the ocean. Chill out in luxurious recliners and make the most of excellent pool service.
Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa, Coral Coast
This luxury resort is an island on its own, huge in size, and has lots to offer. With three swimming pools, guests can choose between adults-only, infinity and the main family-friendly pool. All three offer pool service, refreshments and drinks.
