Stayed in the three bedroom suite and was blown away by the size. Amazing deck, kitchen and bedrooms. Pools and tennis court were well maintained. Close to the city centre and beach.

First room was terrible! Spiderwebs, and very unclean, barely 3 stars, dated and very dirty! The bed was terrible! probably one of the worst ever in our travels - the mattress completely sank and couldn’t sleep! We got upgraded to the next category which was acceptable and close to 4.5 star perhaps. Dinner at the Pacific was average and expensive. Not good value. Breakfast was probably 3.5 star. The best dinner and highlight was Amici’s which we were fortunate to experience on our last evening. The island itself is spectacular and one of the most beautiful in the world. I think what let the overall place down was the lack of cleanliness and the lack of attention to detail as well as the food. The staff were lovely. However the service when we were ringing to request things was terrible as most of the time our calls were not answered. Overall a paradisaic experience let down by a lack of resources, passion and training - let down by humans - a paradise deserves perfection at least close to it .. the intercontinental fell very short of the mark and what could’ve been.

Room was decent and comfy. Pool here is very good and kids loved the slide. However the kids splash area which was one of reasons we came was closed. The fridge was quite loud when trying to sleep. Unfortunately couldnt get a later check out than 11. I feel like 44 dollars for a breakfast buffet is a bit steep. Overall I would recommend the stay

Overall the stay was good. We had a few issues, that were promptly addressed by staff when brought to their attention. The hotel is old and a bit run down - but it was in a great location and was exactly what we needed. The pool was too cold to use at the time of year we were there and quiet deep so not suitable for small kids. Overall happy with the stay.
