Western Division Waterpark Holidays

We had a great stay at the Shangri La resort. The staff were very friendly and eager to accommodate. The resort is showing it's age a bit but overall provided everything we needed. The snorkeling was amazing right off the beach. The lounge chairs at the beach and pool were in bad need of an upgrade. But the beach and snorkeling made up for it. The resort is great for families or if you prefer the adults only section was great as well. The food was good and I would recommend eating at the Black Marlin steak house, the rib steak we shared was fabulous there. If I went to Fiji again I would not go in March as we found the humidity a bit overwhelming. I would highly recommend a massage at the hotel spa and my husband enjoyed playing golf. I wish we had been able to see some sights off the resort but the humidity kept us at the beach and resort. We met some great people and overall had a fantastic time.

Clean room with amazing views! Staff were very happy and friendly. Lovely Fijian night on the Saturday with traditional cooking & dancing. Free snorkeling & Kayaking available. Great selection of food & drink behind the bar / restaurant. Evening entertainment was ok, could mix it up a little with more variety. Nice pool area with pool bar.

Very enjoyable stay. The staff were very kind and always a joy. The room was fantastic. Location was perfect. Highly recommend. 😃

The Waitui Beach Club Plus rooms are well worth the upgrade – every staff member went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing holiday (special shout-outs to Romeo, Mary, Sky and Elenoea from Waitui, as well as Fiu from the housekeeping team) and all the extra inclusions were fantastic. While there was a problem with the resort's air-conditioning system during our stay, we were provided with a fan to make the humid nights more bareable and it did not ruin our holiday at all.

Pros: Lovely staff. Gorgeous grounds, constantly being maintained by the groundskeepers. Good restaurants. Great location and easy to get around. Very clean guest bathrooms. Cons: The deal we booked was different to what we were offered though. (Limits on the use of resort credit contradicted the offer we booked, plus there wasn't daily Mindflight voucher as told when booking, but once per visit for one person, plus a large unnecessary pre-authorisation on card that wasn't advertised when booking and will now take 1-2 weeks to get back). More chairs/umbrellas are needed around the pool areas. Drain fly larvae wiggling around in the shower which freaked out the kids. A guest laundry would be an amazing addition for travelling families!

We stayed in the beach cabin, much nicer and has AC. Would suggest staying there vs the smaller cabins. Fire show was great. Staff was friendly. Food was good but expensive. Small miscommunication from staff on first day here due to weather.
