This is a great hotel. Fabulous rooms with so many thoughtful features. We couldn’t fault it. Add the fact that it houses Melbourne’s best new restaurant Marmelo, makes this a perfect stay!!

Clean Staff great Parking good

A good location for transportation with tram, train and Sky Bus options. All were only a few minutes' walk away. Marvel Stadium was very close. The room, however, was extremely basic and had a view of a triangular roof with the other side of a building, blocking any real sunlight or life in general- more like a prison cell. There were no USB ports, no water bottles supplied or on the room service list. The room was clean though and very quiet. The restaurant does not cater for evening meals. Fortunately, there were some nice restaurants available within walking distance. Just not good enough for the price paid.

Beautiful place with great friendly staff, but our twin room lacked a little privacy in the bath/ shower area. Would be great for a couples stay.

Great property and location

I had the most amazing experience at Laneways by Ovolo. From the moment we arrived, the staff were beyond kind, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The girls at the front desk were especially wonderful, they were so supportive of my friend who ran the Melbourne Marathon and went out of their way to make her feel extra special. That personal touch honestly meant so much! The room was spotless, beautifully styled, and surprisingly spacious, everything felt fresh, comfortable, and so well thought out. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The location was unbeatable right in the heart of Melbourne, surrounded by amazing food spots, cafés, and bars, and super easy to get anywhere on foot or by tram. Everything about our stay was five-star: the service, the space, and the warmth of the team. I couldn’t recommend Laneways by Ovolo more highly and can’t wait to stay again!

General smell of the whole building on every level smelt very stale & musky… but staff were lovely & friendly… bed was comfortable… housekeeping was efficient..

Room was tidy, amenities good, pool was clean and the included breakfast was a bonus. Very affordable and comfortable stay in Melbourne CBD
