Tean Island Romantic Holidays

We were given a room upgrade on arrival to one of the 2 bedroom villas with private pool. The room was lovely, clean, well appointed and comfortable and the pool was amazing. Whilst it is not a new resort, it is well maintained and clean and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The beach bar happy hour entertainment was also good fun! The resort is also far enough away from the centre of Chaweng town to retain some calmness, although it's only a short walk and still very accessible.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is awesome. The facilities and location are great. I would highly recommend it. The one thing to think about is getting off the property for lunch and dinner. The food available in the restaurants for lunch and for dinner, while tasty, is much higher in price without being better than you can get from any number of restaurants within 30 minutes. It was good, but I would get off campus for more meals if I come back. Everything else was completely top not.

Bandara was everything we were looking for for our family holiday with a 13 and 9 year old. Great facilities, a pool we lived in, a kids club they both enjoyed and made them feel independent, and a fantastic location on the beach and edge of Fisherman’s Village. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was also easily able to arrange a pick up from the airport which made arriving to the island very easy with kids. We couldn’t recommend Bandara high enough if you are looking for a family resort in the Bophut area of Koh Samui.

The staff at this hotel were very lovely and helpful. It is also very beautiful as you walk in as it is all open, and almost has a miniature forest you walk through to get to your rooms and the pool/beach. We went down to the beach a few times as it was so close to the hotel. The beach is truly beautiful, white sandy beach with clear blue water. It was not very busy when we visited, but this may be due to low season. The pool was also very well kept and clean, The location of the hotel was truly great and we walked down the road most nights to find a restaurant for dinner. It was also not too far from the docks for boat trips. The breakfast in the morning was great and had loads of options, and many vegetarian choices. The only negative we had was the room service. We ordered 2 pizzas, which were made using ready made bases and very honestly not very nice. They were also quite expensive for Thailand at almost £9 each. I could probably buy something better from the supermarket for a lot less. The rooms also do not get completely dark, and you can see shadows of people walking past you. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointing for the price we paid. It may have been nice 20 years ago, but it’s now dated and a far cry from the luxury it promises.

Very well managed property. From manager down to the guards were respectful and accommodating.
