Sunshine Coast Hinterland Luxury Holidays

At first glance the cottage looked amazing but the more time you spend there the more problems we noticed. No screens on any windows or doors meant we couldn't open anything to let in fresh air without also letting in the bugs. The first night we killed around 70 spiders, and ended up choking on bug spray. The shower room is a little too small as it was hard to move without hitting into something, additionally, the shower door had to be handled carefully as they almost fell out of the tracks every time you opened or closed them. The 'self serve breakfast from 4am' i felt was mis-leading too. Instead of a service being provided from 4am, there was breakfast items in the fridge for us to cook ourselves. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice touch, however i just felt mis-lead by the advertising. While it had its ups and downs the staff were lovely and any issues we had they were happy to help at any time of day. It was also nice to get away from the city noise and not too far from a lot of amazing things to do!

The staff was top notch! Super friendly while remaining 100% professional. The accomodations were absolutely lovely and pristine. Loved being able to play games at night with family by the wood burning stove in mid July.

I had a mixed stay. The good? The staff are lovely overall. The property & gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The bad? Unfortunately my room wasn't ready at check in time, which I usually wouldn't be upset about apart from having paid a high rater due to it being holiday season. Skeleton staff was to blame (due to the holiday season) but in my opinion if you're not able to accommodate guests don't charge them top dollar, OR limit the number of rooms on offer, OR at least call the guests in advance to let them know the time their room will be ready, given that you ask the ETA of arrival. I did receive a glass of bubbles on the house due to the inconvenience and I certainly wasn't upset with the front desk agent who was very apologetic as this is more a managerial problem. Once I did get access to my room (90 minutes later) I discovered I didn't get the room type I booked. I got an accessible room, which was one of the categories of rooms on offer at time of booking. I don't like accessible rooms so I chose the standard guest room. If the only option was accessible I would not have booked to stay here. This may be an Expedia issue rather than Spicers issue however I highly recommend calling ahead to ensure you'll get the room type you've booked.

We checked in and was helped by the owners getting all our luggage carried to cottage.... and it was such a wonderful surprise to have espresso martinis already made up with a cheese and cracker platter in the fridge. fresh local foods also were stocked so we didn't have to go anywhere for breakfast the next day..... we made our own.

The room was clean, great view, the bed was comfy, the hot tub on the balcony was a definite bonus. Restaurant staff were friendly and the food was delicious.

Absolutely loved our stay nestled amongst the trees. Dinner was superb and the setting on the verandah was magical with the ambiance and lights. Staff always super helpful, friendly and kind. Breakfast had minimal choices and the rosti I had was too over cooked. Otherwise the stay was perfect and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.
