Brisbane Kid friendly Holidays

Good location, clean and friendly staff.

We were impressed with the city views and balcony area, size of the apartment and proximity to areas we wanted to visit. However, the room had a very bad sewerage/drain smell which didn’t seem to dissipate during the stay. The car park entry is 2.1m but the actual carpark we were given did not fit a larger car in it due to the limited underground parking areas. The apartment was very noisy with city and train noises all night long, which is understandable for the location but if you do not like too much noise, I would suggest looking somewhere else.

The lady at reception was very helpful when I had a problem with the toilet - no excuses or silliness, switched the room immediately for me.

Check in staff were very courteous and helpful. We arrived quite early and they were happy to store our bags and no cost and allowed us into our room. An hour early room is spacious and tidy and right in the heart of the CBD.

The room we had was not thoroughly clean. We could find food leftovers on the carpet in some hidden places. Worse still, we spotted some spiderwebs on the window sill. What a terrible experience. If you need a photo for proof, I can see it over.

The character of the hotel is reminiscent of grand hotels of the past - akin to the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. In this day of high rise steel and glass, this is the kind of hotel that says, “Relax. We’ve got you.”. The location can’t be better. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly.

Very clean room, and great customer service at the front desk. Asked to drop bags off as we arrived 3hrs prior to default check in time and they made a room available instead.
