Camp John Hay Honeymoon Holidays

This is my second stay/review of the property. My first 3 nights stay, the staff were great, helpful and professional However, my second stay was not as good because when I was calling the front desk/reception nobody was answering the phone it took awhile for some to pick up. I was looking for my belt that I left the first time I checked in. The person who answered the phone said she’ll find out and call me back but she never did. I called the operator instead and spoke to a certain Harley, I think that’s his name and he was the one who was able to help/found the belt I was looking for. The guy from the housekeeping brought it up to my room. I was glad and thankful. However, I/we had the same problem with the room service food we ordered, it was not very good. Again, I’m suggesting for a new Chef.

If your traveling with suitcases it's not going to be easy to get it the property. Very difficult to locate correct entrance with ramp( several to climb ) Otherwise once you're in it's amazing location and apartment is great. I wouldn't bother with free breakfast if your coming from West.

Close to the airport. Very helpful staff. The only concern I had was the shower not draining well. Since I arrived close to midnight and needed to check out early morning , I did not ask for maintenance at the time as I really wanted to rest already. Otherwise, everything is good would definitely come back again.

It is a great hotel for the price. Yes, the room needs renovation but the location is great. The rooftop bar is better the the City Garden Grand hotel and I’m Hotel that are across the street. The breakfast is fantastic. It is better than the City Garden Grand hotel in taste and quality. Compared to I’m Hotel. More selection and choices. Overall, the front desk staff is very professional unlike St. Giles hotel that is next to City Garden Makita hotel. St. Giles front desk staff are unprofessional when you have an issue with hotel such breakfast being charged when it should be included when you booked. Also, charge on towel and bedsheet when there are minor stain already there. St. Giles does not accept any blames in their policy. Whereas City Garden Makita will try to resolve issues when arise.Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean room. Helpful staff. Lots of shops nearby.
