Cape York Peninsula Honeymoon Holidays

I was surprised to find no food or drink available on Sunday. I am diabetic so have to be able to eat regularly .Being a si gle traveller walking around in the dark was daunting to find a restaurant that was open. The restaurant when open I felt rushed to both order and especially pay. I was asked three times how I was going to pay even before I ordered lunch and had to pay even before my meal arrived. I am not use to that style. I ordered a bottle of sparkling to come to my room. It was delivered unopened. As it required a bottle opener and the room did not supply them. I had to ask the girl to come back to open it.

Incredible space, immaculate, and total comfort. ​We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom top-floor apartment and were blown away by how huge and private it is. The layout is fantastic—the second bathroom has a separate toilet, and there is a fully separate laundry with a washer, dryer, sink, and clothes airer. ​The kitchen was absolutely immaculate and stocked with everything you could possibly want, including a double fridge/freezer, plenty of crockery, glassware, and even helpful extras like cling wrap and foil. They are incredibly generous with supplies, leaving loads of dishwasher tablets and laundry powder. ​The beds are very comfortable with crisp sheets. There is excellent airflow thanks to ceiling fans in every room, including out on the large main balcony. Just a note for anyone with mobility considerations: there is no lift, so you will be using the stairs to get up to level 3, but the trade-off is beautiful treetop views and total privacy. We couldn't fault the cleanliness; the entire place was spotless. The pool is a warm 28-30 degrees and very private I don't think the rooms look into the pool area at all. BBQ area is a great set up. The communication with the management team was quick, informative and friendly. Adrian & Elmira were brilliant to deal with. Highly recommend it and we would definitely come back.

Great central place to stay with the wharf very close and the casino just across the road. Rooms that have been renovated are lovely, the ones that haven't been are very outdated and damaged and even though we booked 2 the same had different size beds, tiny TV's, no balcony furniture, bath in one and not the other, and then smelled mouldy. Staff were very obliging and upgraded our rooms due to the condition and smell to the amazing rooms. Buffet breakfast was nice, lots to choose from and always been refreshed and refilled. Parking was an extra daily fee, and you can go in and out away times as you needed. The main foyer was clean and inviting with a tourist desk to book if required. The gym was basic but usable. Pool was very clean with loads of deck chairs.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Novotel Cairns. Everything from accommodation, restaurant, pool & staff were amazing will definitely stay again if we come back to Cairns!!
