Could use a chair in the room to sit on as there is nowhere to sit but that could be the idea. Also need to have water in the room. Could promote the breakfast a bit more when you book in. Otherwise very pleasant stay.

Friendly welcoming staff. Quiet room, comfy bed, great night sleep. Loved breakfast. Everything spot on.

Tried to call the hotel was put on hold for longer than 35 minutes, which I don’t think is acceptable and then at the end of the day the call was disconnected. Could not get hot water when I went to take a bath shower in the evening ran it for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Still no hot water. I think the hotel is overrated. It’s old needs to be updated.

Large, clean well equipped room, staff on arrival were friendly. Hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and Elizabeth Quay. Overall the hotel is very dated, entrance to the hotel is really off putting, it’s dirty and grubby. For a 1 night stay it was fine but not a hotel we would want to spend time in, as always you get what you pay for.

GUS Premium Room on 4th floor of the modern Garde Hotel. Very comfortable, spacious room with large bathroom. Room 414 faced west, so avoided any noise from Freo Social Music venue next door. No noise heard from other guest rooms. King size bed, next to the picture window. I would not recommend this room layout for anyone with mobility issues or poor flexibility - you either have to clamber over your partner or manoeuver around end of bed to get out! No problem for us though. Design is minimalist. There is a hanging rail instead of a wardrobe, and a large single drawer that requires bending over to reach. Free one-off mini bar included in room price, and a welcome drink between 4 - 7pm in Anglesea's bar. Tea & Coffee (pod & instant) available in room. There are complimentary water carafes that you can refill with still or sparkling water in each corridor - great idea, particularly if you're going out for the day! The bathroom is excellent. Rainfall shower (no showercap in room - ask at reception). Deep bath for soaking in, etc, etc The breakfast is continental - fresh fruit, granola, pastries. Gluten free choices available. Cooked breakfast available, but we were too full! Overall, a delightful stay - we will be back.

Room was impeccable! Amazing location. Staff treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. Appreciated the luxury all the way from Melbourne, Australia.

Immaculately presented but no where for baggage in the room and WHO designed the lighting? Terrible. Dim lights everywhere. Bathroom hopeless as no brighter lights for shaving, make up. On the plus side top floor bar 1st class. No response to request for housekeeping. Slightly disappointed.
