This time we got one of the 200 series room. It was amazing

10/10 – absolutely exceptional. Our stay at Tamanu on the Beach was nothing short of perfect. The private plunge pool villa was stunning—beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and offered the perfect level of privacy. The entire property is visually spectacular, with breathtaking views and a relaxed luxury feel throughout. The food was outstanding. Every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. What truly sets Tamanu apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member was warm, professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A special mention must go to the staff for the care they showed when my husband became unwell during our stay. They immediately stepped in to help, showing genuine concern, kindness, and support. Their response was exceptional and made a stressful situation so much easier for us. Honestly, we cannot find a single fault with our experience. From the accommodation to the food, service, and hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Tamanu on the Beach to anyone looking for a truly outstanding getaway.

Property was nice and the staff were lovely but it was a bit far away from town and transport wasn’t provided. We still enjoyed our stay.

Had the most perfect stay in paradise. Everything you want for a relaxed island getaway. Accomodation was perfect, staff very friendly and helpful and excellent meals at the restaurant. We used the kayaks every day and snorkeled at the small reef to the east of the island. All villas appear to have water frontage. Could not recommend more highly if you are after a low key and relaxing escape

Staff were lovely and helpful. Food was great but a little pricey. If you are elderly or have health issues make sure your accommodation is on the lower areas of the property as a lot of the rooms are high on the hill with steep access paths in areas.

The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. The included breakfast covers all the expected bases – a small range of fresh fruit, toast, fresh breads, cereals and cooked breakfast options for extra charge.
