Hollyburn Country Club Fishing Holidays

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location in Vancouver. The hotel staff are super friendly and the room we stayed in was great. We stayed in three different hotels during our stay in Vancouver and this was by far the best. It was spacious and clean and we were offered a free upgrade. Definitely staying here again!

The staff were so friendly and so professional! I usually don’t write reviews, but it honestly blew me away how great they were to deal with. Would recommend to anyone. The location is great for walking everywhere.

We recently stayed at the Paradox hotel for four days and, overall, had a very pleasant experience. Although we initially encountered a few inconveniences with our room, Michael, the Duty Manager, handled the situation exceptionally well. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring our comfort. Michael promptly resolved the issue by kindly offering us a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which we truly appreciated. Thanks to Michael’s excellent customer service, friendliness, and problem-solving skills, our stay turned into a very enjoyable experience. He is a true asset to the hotel, and we are grateful for his outstanding hospitality.

Amazing! We loved our stay here. Fantastic location downtown, walkable shopping and dining, and rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Parking was a little expensive but convenient. The location was perfect if you like shopping. Walking distance from lots of restaurants and a nice plaza. Driving distance was pretty good to Granville Island and other key areas. Rooms were large, suite style with a comfortable bed, nice TV, and a full kitchen and fridge if you prefer to have dinner in your room. Staff were very friendly, always helpful and professional, and the amenities were great. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

Beautiful, cozy hotel in the great location. Will definitely stay there again

The Douglas was an unexpected gem. We chose it for the location, but the staff and the quality of the furnishings and amenities was fantastic.

Housekeeping cleaned our room, but left the door open when they left. Luckily, nothing was missing. We ordered a drink at the rooftop bar, but when the sun went down we took the drink to the lobby bar. We were told that "outside" drinks were not allowed. When I indicated that the drink was a hotel beverage, the hostess didn't seem to care. Considering it's a $25 cocktail, she refused to have it sent to our room. POOR service in my opinion

Breakfast was lovely. Staff attentive. Organic eggs delicious. Gym was great - very clean, functional and upscale. Cold wet cloths in the fridge were a refreshing add on to the usual gym towels.
