Excellent staff who makes the stay perfect

We had the most amazing honeymoon, from the get go we were greeted with smiles and hugs. The property was spectacular, ocean views from your room, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We arranged for massages and had the pleasure of a couples massage in the open air of the island. Dolphin Island is a truly special place not just because of its natural beauty but because of the wonderful people that work there. Dawn was gracious attended to our needs and most importantly allowed us to make the island our home away from home. The staff worked to accommodate whatever we needed and in all reality we didn’t need much. The Island and the people really made our honeymoon special, and we can only help to return again someday!

We had an excellent time at Tropica! We stayed in a Beach Bure and it was absolutely wonderful. Right on the beach and separated by jungle from the other Beach Bures, it felt like we had our own slice of heaven. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. The food at Tropica was excellent. Breakfast was included and absolutely wonderful. Ask for the blended iced coffee! So yummy. We also enjoyed trying their amazing list of cocktails. Dinner was really special. One night my husband got a 1.2 kg lobster that he states is the best lobster he has ever had! It was beautifully presented. One of the team also plays the guitar and sings some nights and it’s very special. The property has just been going through some recent upgrades and while they have a few more things to do, they have already done a lot which we benefited from. There is a bit of construction but it didn’t have an impact on our experience. By far the staff are what make this a truly special place. They very quickly learned our names and what we liked. They go well out of their way to make sure you are happy and taken care of. By the end they felt like family. This was our first experience with Fiji and we would go back in a heart beat! Thank you to Tropica for making our first time to Fiji so special.

Staff were amazing and catered to every need, with the resort also very well kept. The food is an enormous highlight, with a stellar, changing, multi course menu every day for lunch and dinner. The freshly roasted cashews were delicious too!

Our fourth trip there so that tell's you how much we love it. The staff, primarily the local grown staff, are incredibly kind and engaging. The food is at the same level with a "Thank You Cake" on our last night, a Breakfast Chef who made special gluten free pancakes for my Daughter N Law, and the Head Chef delivering a Crab Macaroni & Cheese to "test" for their Summer menu. All facilities are immaculate. It truly lives up to the Resort name as we don't see a need to go elsewhere even when we had a rental car. Snorkeling is a 5 +; don't try elsewhere (unless an outer island) as honestly it's no better. Local masseuses next door, do it! Currency exchange with hotel but only up to 200FJD so if you need more, do it at airport. What has digressed since Reef Safari is gone is Kayak/Surfboard availability and times. Specific tides dictate this due to reef exposure but when I ( 45+ years surfing) pressed on launching from Sand Bar, they said no. Hopefully tide times coincide with their operating hours for you. Surf? Yes, there is surf out front but you need a westerly swell to hit the reef. If you want more of the local vibe, get a ride to Sigatoka down the road for the Farmers Market and shops. Intercontinental Fiji is extremely accommodating and earns every bit of a 5 star. They think of everything and deliver on it with a smile.

This resort is a must if you travel to Fiji. We visited 2 years ago and knew we wanted to return. The staff is our Fiji family. Each individual cottage is so well built and maintained. Manassas and his wife Wati are the original builders and both still stay active at the resort. I encourage travelers to not just stay on the main island, but discover the surrounding islands.

The room, restaurant, and beach was awesome. Pool bar was nice too but it was weird to have kids section there. Now the staffs 🙄 they are nice but they.need to smile to all their guests and not pick and choose. They need to set their tone

Amazing staff and great location. Food was exceptional. Second visit and will be back again
