Clean room with a great view and not too far from the shops, restaurants and the beach. Unfortunately, the spa was not working.

Lots of things to do. Clean, modern rooms. Everyone was very helpful.

Great spot with kids for fishing and access to river. Maybe a bit far from town if walking with young kids.

The resort is beautifully integrated into the natural environment with a maze of boardwalks winding through rainforest and over natural ponds. It feels like you’re staying within the natural landscape rather than imposing on it, and the beachfront location is perfect for taking in the sunset! The eco-living model brings the obvious challenge of managing moisture; our initial room had a strong musty odour and visible mould on the bathroom ceiling. Moving to a new room made for a far more comfortable stay. The staff were generally efficient but customer service often lacked a sense of warmth. Restaurant reservations are expected, so our laissez-faire approach to planning meals on holiday was met with some frustration, though there appeared to be ample tables available. The food was excellent but if you’re staying for several days, you might look for more variety. We loved the Illumina laser light show - fantastic! Book early if you plan to do any activities, as numbers are capped. The 4WD day tour was excellent thanks to the guides knowledge and humour. Next time we’d love to self-drive so we could linger longer at places of interest. Dingo education is excellent and sticks stocked at the gates a nice touch. Be sure to bring any essentials, snacks and drinks with you. The resort shop is expensive and some items were close or past expiry. We enjoyed our stay and having learned the ropes, know it will be even better next time!

Make sure to request a room on top floor as floors are wooden and extremely noisy from the people above. Sounded like a family of elephants stomping around and moving furniture all evening it was super annoying. Foxys was nice for casual meals, restaurant was expensive. Great view from room so close to the shore. No frypan in kitchen

Half of the island is abandoned. Limited choices for meals at expensive prices. Minimal maintenance at the resort, many broken tiles causing trip hazards. Limited activities

Positives: location to amenities. Next door to The Pines shopping centre. Free wi-fi and parking. Negatives: very run down and grubby with a musty smell. I paid extra for a deluxe room as the photos showed a renovated modern room but it was lipstick on a pig. Very cheap, DIY feel, cosmetic changes. Both sinks dripped and had poor water pressure. I had to boil the jug to wash up as the hot water was not hot enough. The outdoor seating was covered in bird poo, inside I found a dead crusty gecko and a live cockroach in the shower. The smell is probably what got to me most, the place had a musty old man smell, including when walking through the property to enter/exit. The spa was broken and being worked on and the games room is so run down. Due to the large number of renters (residents) I also felt like I was intruding when walking through the complex to enter/exit. The room has VERY thin windows and as a result was quite noisy due to the room facing the loading docks of the shopping centre and the hotels car park / bins / smoking area. Cheap ready made curtains provided little privacy and the lighting layout in the living area was poor, one switch for the whole kitchen/living/dining area that was either all lit up or not all. It served its purpose but we will not be back.

Pool is lovely. Room was big. Beach was fenced off. Streets lights very bright so pack an eye shade. I informed staff a would be arriving after 5pm, which is when the office closes mon thru Friday, noon Saturday and Sunday. Never recovered my entry code or internet details. So have no internet during my stay. Process could be improved.
